Investigating a report of a possibly homeless person allegedly committing lewd sexual acts on a public bench, officers with the Kalispell Police Department saw none of the described behavior after spotting and observing the man. Attempts to raise by phone the person who called in were unsuccessful and officers were unable to leave a message.

Coming out the morning after an incident in front of their house that involved the arrests of two individuals, a homeowner discovered that the suspects’ truck was still parked out front. Investigating further, they found a wallet and a dog inside the vehicle. Officers contacted the owner’s grandmother, who collected both the truck and the pooch.

Officers checked in on the driver of a truck and travel trailer left parked on the side of a business at the behest of the company’s general manager. They learned that the vehicle had broken down and the motorist was working on getting it moving.

Employees of another business wanted a man removed and barred from the premises after he came into the store earlier and bothered customers. The employees said the man was making punching and gun shooting motions at their clientele. Officers let the man know he was no longer welcome anywhere in the retail strip.

A masked individual wandered up onto a homeowner’s porch overnight and delivered a soliloquy into their security camera. The lone ranger left a note before vanishing back into the night. The resident asked that the police up their patrols of the neighborhood.

The driver of a dark-colored Acura was allegedly brake-checking other motorists.

Finding an unusually friendly rabbit in their yard, a resident phoned authorities looking for suggestions on what to do with it. They suspected it was a pet rabbit as it allowed itself to be picked up and was unaffected by his dogs.

Authorities were alerted to a group of people yelling death threats at one another near a known “drug house,” at least according to the person who phoned in the dispute. The people left soon after and the caller agreed to phone back if they returned.

Someone mistakenly left their phone in the bathroom of a gas station and when they returned to retrieve it, discovered it missing. An attachment to the phone contained several banking cards and the owner’s driver’s license. Using a phone locator app, the owner tracked the device down and confronted the man who had taken it. That man later apologized and handed the phone over.

A woman told authorities that a man in a white sedan tried to run her over on Meridian Road. The man screamed at her to get out of the road before trying to hit her, she said.

Taking it on himself to follow a motorist he suspected of drinking and driving, a resident found himself in the parking lot of a meeting spot for local 12-step groups. Undeterred, he confronted the motorist, who began punching his vehicle. The man left and phoned police to share the story after arriving at his home.
