Betty Ann O'Master, 84, passed away on July 6, 2024. She was born on Oct. 11, 1939, to Oscar and Opal (Edwards) Olsen, in Choteau.

The family later moved to the Flathead Valley where Betty became a beauty operator (hairdresser). She once ran and owned a local bingo parlor, to later retire from sales at KGEZ Radio. Betty and Chuck were married for 26 years. Betty enjoyed volunteering for Toys for Tots, and she was a lifetime member of the Kalispell Moose Lodge. Every summer Betty and Chuck would plant flowers in pots and place them around the deck at their home. They enjoyed taking drives in the country and sitting by the river watching the water flow by.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Opal Olsen; sister, Minta; brother, John; and her husband, Chuck O'Master.

She is survived by her children, Jay Lee (Shelley), Ron, Darla (Dale), Jaye Lynn (Jake); sister, Judy; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Betty was a kindhearted lady with a beautiful soul. She will be forever missed and always in our hearts.

A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. on Aug. 17, at Faith Baptist Church, with a luncheon to follow at 3 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Kalispell.
