Law roundup: Woman starts day stealing coffee and wine

A business asked officers to charge a woman wearing purple sweatpants and a black top with theft after she reportedly stole wine and coffee earlier in the day. Kalispell Police Department officers could not locate the woman who was last seen heading toward the fairgrounds “with a bag over her head.” 

A man called the police after allegedly approaching a man who got “lippy” with him when he asked him not to park in his parking lot. He stopped speaking with dispatchers who could hear people yelling on the open line. Offending parties were kicked off the property per his request.

A resident reportedly wanted officers to “check out the parking issue the fair was causing.”

A man sitting in a blue Subaru allegedly told someone's manager he was going to shoot him and acted like he was going to pull something out. The man was told he was not welcome at the location.

A woman went to the police department alleging that a man driving an Escalade followed her and was parked outside saying he became angry with her when she let someone cross the street.

A child allegedly called the police when their mother, who had Covid, was gasping and having difficulty breathing. An emergency response was canceled when the child’s father arrived to help.

Two sets of wedding rings inside a small leather pouch with yellow binding were reported missing.

Someone reportedly told police their mother’s debit card was stolen from her purse and her bank account was drained.

A woman wanted officers to speak to her landlord about going into her apartment without waking her up after the landlord allegedly came in to test the fire alarms and bent her cane leaning against the door.

A woman getting phone calls and text messages asking about Medicare was concerned she was being scammed.

A woman called officers for assistance in getting her daughter from a location where her phone was pinging after she left during the night. The pair were reunited.

A maroon GMC Yukon with a dealer plate was stickered with a notice to move after sitting at a location for six days.
