Boys Hoops: Tyler Anderson’s 3 beats buzzer, Polson
LIBBY — Libby’s Tyler Andersen hit a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left, and the Loggers knocked off Polson 42-41 Saturday for its first conference boys basketball win.
Anderson, who scored 19 points, hit a layup with 1:10 left as the Loggers (3-12 overall, 1-8 in league) began to make up a 41-36 deficit. After a free throw from Libby’s Cy Williams cut the gap to 41-39, Polson (2-13, 1-8) turned the ball over with 17.5 seconds left.
Andersen up-faked and hit the game-winner from the right wing.
Anthony Lichtenberg scored 16 points to lead Polson. Cody Haggard hit two threes and added 11 for the Pirates.
