Bravettes lose at Missoula Big Sky
MISSOULA — Kadynce Couture scored 19 points and the Missoula Big Sky Eagles used a big second quarter to push past Flathead 56-48 Thursday in Western AA girls basketball action.
Avory DeCoite added 17 points and Sadie McGuinn 13 for the first-place Eagles (12-1 overall, 9-0 in league), who fell behind 13-6 early and trailed 16-12 going to the second quarter.
McGuinn scored eight points in the second quarter for Big Sky, while Flathead had just three as a team. The Bravettes (4-8, 1-7) made a late surge with Kennedy Moore scoring 10 fourth-quarter points, but it wasn’t enough.
Moore had 15 points and Chloe Converse 12 for Flathead. Converse hit four 3-pointers.
