Friday Boys: Browning hands C-Falls 2nd league loss

BROWNING — Maurice Redhorn III scored 19 points and the Browning Indians made a nine-point halftime lead hold up for a big 67-58 boys basketball win over Northwest A rival Columbia Falls Friday.

Tommy Running Rabbit added 16 points for Browning (12-4 overall, 8-2 in the Northwest A), eight coming in the fourth quarter. He was 6-for-6 at the line; the Indians were 11 of 15 in the fourth quarter, and 19 of 33 for the game.

Jace Hill had nine of his 17 points in the third quarter as the first-place Wildcats (11-6, 9-2) climbed into the game. Cody Schweikert added 13 points and 10 rebounds; he had seven points in the third.

Eureka 66, Plains 35

PLAINS — Braden Casazza scored 15 points, Caden Vaughn led a first-quarter Eureka blitz and the Lions beat Plains to move to 10-0 in District 7-B games.

Vaughn scored all of his nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while the Lions (14-3 overall) rolled out to a 21-2 lead. Parker Bates hit four 3-pointers and added 13 points for Eureka, and Tristan Butts had 11 points.

Anaya Loberg’s 13 points led Plains (10-7, 4-5 in 7-B games).
