4th-quarter surge sparks Browning boys

RONAN — Maurice Redhorn III scored 26 points and Browning used a 9-1 fourth-quarter run to take control in a 70-63 win over Ronan Monday, giving the Indians 10 league wins.

The game was tight through three quarters and after a tip-in by Ronan’s Sean Small, the Chiefs (10-8 overall, 7-5 in the Northwest A) trailed just 53-51. 

But then Jude Reevis and Isiah Running Rabbit scored for Browning (14-4, 10-2 in league). After Marlo Tonasket hit a free throw for Ronan, Redhorn knocked home a 17-footer and Running Rabbitt, who had 10 points, drained his second 3-pointer for a 62-52 lead with 4:51 left. 

Redhorn hit four 3-pointers and scored 26 points, and Tommy Running Rabbit added 24 for Browning.. Kolby Finley led Ronan with 17, including two 3-pointers.
