Big Sky tip-in at buzzer beats Braves
Calijah LaRance tipped in a Missoula Big Sky miss at the buzzer Tuesday, allowing the Eagles to escape the Flathead gym with a 54-52 boys basketball win over the Braves.
LaRance, who scored eight points, converted after Isiah Reed rebounded a missed three, drove across the key and missed a 17-footer.
This came after Brody Thornsberry got a tough 10-footer to kiss off the glass for Flathead, tying the game at 52-all with 25 seconds left.
Avery Omlid scored 14 points, 12 on 3-pointers, and Reed added 12 for Big Sky (7-8 overall, 4-7 in Western AA games).
Korbin Eaton and Jordan Griffin both scored 10 points for Flathead (0-14, 0-10 in league). The Braves are at Helena Capital Friday.
