Raymond Tiller, 89

Raymond Wilbert Tiller, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, in Cullman, Alabama.

He lived his whole life in Montana, before moving to Alabama, six months earlier to be with his family. He was born in Lewistown, on Oct. 31, 1934, where he met Phyllis Marie Farmer. They married April 23, 1954. They had three children. They were married forty-three years. Phyllis died in 1997 and Raymond never remarried.

Ray loved the outdoors, fishing to him was therapy. He loved to share his fishing knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. He would share his knowledge about the bible and creation with anyone who would listen. He was one of Jehovah Witnesses for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leo Tiller, Sr. and Grace Caroline Bachman Tiller; wife, Phyllis Marie Tiller; son, Jerry Tiller; and sisters, Florence Hart and Jackie Anderson.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan Leksen (Alan), Charlene Self (Gregg); daughter-in-law, Terry Tiller; grandchildren, Britian and Sherry Tiller, Tyler and Melissa Walston; four great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Tiller, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
