Western B girls: Florence knocks out Eureka

PABLO — Kenzy Pickering scored a game-high 17 points to lead Florence past Eureka into Saturday’s consolation final at the Western B girls divisional.

The Falcons broke the game open late, outscoring the Lions 18-8 in the final quarter.

Emily Ralston added 10 points for Florence.

The Lions ended up 12-12.


Florence 53, Mission 43

Maggie Schneiter scored 20 points, Emily Ralston added 14 and Florence defeated Mission in the consolation game and claim the final spot in the State B tournament March 7-9 in Billings.

Cora Matt scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs, who were held scoreless in the second quarter.

Kenzy Pickering checked in with seven points for the Falcons, who led 42-22 going into the fourth quarter.


Mission 61, Thompson Falls 35

Cora Matt scored 16 points, Ellanah Flat Lip added 13 and Mission defeated Thompson Falls to advance to Saturday’s consolation final against Florence. 

Gabbi Hannum scored 16 to lead the Blue Hawks.


Anaconda 64, Missoula Loyola 59 OT

Meela Mitchell and Makena Patrick scored 21 points each as Anaconda overcame a 17 point deficit to beat Missoula Loyola and win their first Western B divisional championship.

Gio Horner scored 18 points to lead the Breakers, who led 34-21 at the half. Spencer Laird added 16 points.

Maniyah Lunceford checked in with 11 points for the Copperheads.
