Law roundup: Woman finds her dog covered in blood

Flathead County Sheriff’s Department received a report from a Columbia Falls woman whose dog was reportedly found covered in blood and she said her neighbor shoots at the canine whenever it barks.

A parent went to the sheriff’s department with her son who was allegedly one of the kids who stole a package in Evergreen and was worried people would “retaliate or something” after seeing photos of his face posted on social media that had since been deleted.

A Kalispell woman allegedly told deputies she had proof her network was hacked after having a professional check her phone and computer and told her someone put an app on her router. She was told to look at getting a new one.

Deputies were asked to check on a man holding a knife who was walking erratically and pacing between a stretch of businesses. Law enforcement counseled him about his actions and he agreed to keep the knife in his pocket.

An employee spotted a woman in a Hungry Horse laundromat and wanted deputies to kick her out after she allegedly stole items from a store and was no longer welcome at either business.

A Hungry Horse woman allegedly took in a dog that a friend asked her to watch two years ago but it was attacking her mother’s dog and she didn’t want it anymore because the aggressive behavior and there were children in her home.


A pharmacy manager told the Kalispell Police Department that narcotics allegedly went missing from the location in December and that it had also been reported to the DEA per store policy.

A woman reportedly called police about her ex-husband being abusive and sending text messages threatening to find and kill her, but she hung up after letting dispatch know she was “very dissatisfied with the service she received from KPD.”

A man allegedly dropped off a 1970s red Chevelle at a body shop and thought he might have to report it as stolen after the owner wasn’t answering his phone calls or providing updates for a few weeks. Officers attempted contacting the owner by phone and the shop appeared closed. They advised the man it was a civil matter if he wanted to pursue anything legally.

Someone reportedly followed up with officers about collecting a counterfeit $5 bill in their possession that they had called in about a few weeks ago.
