Access to free 3D printing services is coming to ImagineIF Libraries this month, according to a release from the county library system.

Patrons can submit a 3D printing request using an online form on the ImagineIF website at imagineiflibraries.org/services/3d-printing/. They will need to provide a link to a 3D file under Creative Commons licenses from a reputable website. The process will be user-friendly and accessible to people of all ages, according to the release.

Upon completion of the 3D prints, patrons can pick up their creations at any ImagineIF location. To enhance the program's success and gather valuable insights, patrons are required to complete a brief survey to better help tailor library services, according to the release.

The Free Public 3D Printing Pilot Program will be in full swing from January 2024 to May 2024.

ImagineIF staff said in the release that this initiative is not just about technology, but also about community collaboration, education and the collective exploration.

Inquire about the 3D printing pilot program at any ImagineIF Libraries branch.
