Columbia Falls head coach Dawn Roe said the team qualified to compete in all events at state with 29 entries.
“The last few weeks were tough for the kids with school and practices canceled for weather, while also juggling their final exams. These amazing kids did not let that get in their way,” Roe said.
Whitefish secured 25 state entries, which includes Memorized Public Address divisional champion Ella Walker. Whitefish head coach Sarah Mueller also noted her team’s persistence through the weather-related cancellations and final exams.
“... this team has shown dedication and perseverance beyond what I have seen from past teams,” Mueller said. “Although we know we will face strong competition from across the state, we are proud to be one of the teams with high expectations for next weekend.
