BOZEMAN — Up 4-0 after three innings, the Kalispell AA Lakers gave up six runs in the fourth and lost 6-4 to Casper Post 2 at the Bozeman AA Invitational Legion tournament Saturday.

Things looked good when Luke Nikunen and Kaden Drish hit back-to-back doubles ahead of a Trever Cockerill RBI single and a sacrifice fly by Oscar Kallis. By then they led 4-0.

The Oilers out of Wyoming socked three doubles and a triple in their fourth-inning rally: Holden Christensen’s triple cut the gap to 4-2; Cobey Pexton and Ryan Deveraux hit back-to-back RBI doubles for a 6-4 lead.

Kalispell outhit Casper 10-8, with Carter Schlegel and Drish collecting three each. Schlegel hit a triple and scored twice. He also started on the hill, and gave way to Bryce Buckmaster after allowing eight hits, one walk and three earned runs. He fanned one.
