C-Falls' Lara, Browning's Wells score big at NHSRF

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Columbia Falls’ bareback rider Azzy Lara scored 75 points in the sixth performance at the National High School Rodeo Finals Wednesday, and split first after the first go-round of the event.
The second go started Wednesday night, and Lara scored a 74 — giving him the early lead in the average at 149.
Browning’s Tahj Wells finished second in bull riding in the first go-round, helped greatly by a ride of 82 that was the best of Performance 4 on Tuesday morning.
The Finals began Sunday and will conclude Saturday.
