Doris S. Keil, 94

Doris S. Keil, 94, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024, at her residence in Rapid City.

Doris was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Townsend; one of 10 children. Her family moved to Sunburst, where she went to school and grew up. She met and married her husband of 63 years, Keith Keil of Conrad, and lived in Shelby. 

She and her husband lived in various places over the years including, California, Alaska and Montana. They moved to Kalispell and enjoyed their retirement with golf, family gatherings, and travel. After her husband’s death in 2013, Doris moved to Rapid City in March 2016 to be near her daughter, Rebecca.

She is survived by her children, Donald Keil (Kathy) of Bozeman, Rebecca Fahrenholz (Keith) of Rapid City, Richard Keil (Salla) of Medford, Oregon, and David Keil (Shirley) of Great Falls; as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, Robert; an infant grandchild, Matthew; as well as three brothers and four sisters.

Services and burial will be held in Kalispell, at a date yet to be determined.
