Clarice Harrison, 95

Clarice E. Harrison, 95, passed away on Nov. 15, 2023. She was born in Culbertson, on March 8, 1928, to Persis Mack and Archie Downen. 

She married Dean Harrison on May 20, 1948. Clarice and Dean welcomed their son Dan that year, followed by their daughter, Marlene in 1953. 

She was a Tupperware dealer and worked at Art’s Café, Haines Drug in Whitefish, Frenchy’s Restaurant, and in the kitchen for over 30 years at the Veterans Home in Columbia Falls. She loved baking, gardening, eating out, going on drives, and family gatherings. Most of all her pride and joy was her family. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Persis Mack; her father, Archie Downen; her husband, Dean Harrison; her son, Dan Harrison; her daughter-in-law, Mary; her sisters, Ardith Richmond, Irene Darling, and Arlene Row; and brothers Dick and Stan Downen. 

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Clayton; and her grandchildren, Deano (Stacy) Harrison with Connor, Dylan, and Drew of Mississippi; Tawnya Vidnovic with Sophia and Sasha of Minnesota; and Michelle Howke (Allen Long); Hank Collins, Pam Mitchell, and Cindy Skinner; and nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to welcome everyone to celebrate her life beginning at 3 p.m. on July 6, at her home, which she loved, 4685 U.S. 93 S. (348 Antelope Trail) in Whitefish.
