After allowing five runs in the top of the first, the Kalispell Sluggers battled back for an 11-7 victory Saturday over Badrock 15u to advance to the championship game of the Badrock Invitational.
Drew Queen and Logan Cuffe picked up a pair of hits each for Badrock, who outhit the Sluggers 9-6. Cuffe drove in three runs on the day, while Jett Pitts drove in a pair on a first inning two-run single.
After falling behind 5-0 early, the Sluggers closed the deficit to 5-4 after the first inning.
In the third inning, Will Sisson put Badrock back in front 6-5 with an RBI single.
Kalispell drove in six runs during the bottom of the third to take a commanding 11-6 lead, before allowing one run in the top of the fourth. The game ended after four innings.
Hayden Meyer and Nico Young drove in two runs on two hits each for the Sluggers.
Badrock falls to Sunday’s third place game, with the winner heading to the championship round — which is scheduled for 4 p.m.
