Series looks at land stewardship

The Montana State University Flathead County Extension and the Flathead Conservation District are holding a six-week Land Stewardship Series.

The series begins on March 28 and takes place on Thursdays. All classes meet in person from 6-8 p.m. at the Northwest Montana Association of Realtors office classroom, 110 Cooperative Way, Kalispell. 

This series provides landowners with an opportunity to learn techniques to manage their land from local natural resource professionals. Current or future landowners of any acreage are welcome. 

Classes include Soil and Pasture Health, Noxious Weeds, Landowner Fire Preparedness,

Forest Insects, Disease and Wildfire, Living Near Water and Living with Wildlife 

Instructors include experts from Montana Department of Natural Resouces and Conservation, Montana State University Extension, Flathead County Weed Department, Flathead Conservation District, and People and Carnivores. 

Registration is open and available through the Flathead County Extension Office at 758-5553. The cost is $40 for the series.
