Someone allegedly called the Kalispell Police Department because they were suspicious of a woman wearing a blonde wig who was at a location across the street and wanted officers to “check it out.” The caller couldn’t explain what crime they thought she was engaged in other than that they had never seen her in the area before.

A hiker asked police to check on the well-being of a woman reportedly eating dirt on the trail. The woman with the unique palate was fine and didn’t need law enforcement assistance.

An allegedly neglectful woman was ticketed and released after security spotted a toddler with a tablet left alone in a black F-150. Security told officers the 2 or 3-year-old child was playing something on the tablet and wouldn’t respond to their questions.

People allegedly stood outside a camper in a parking lot, yelling and harassing the occupants thinking they were homeless. One occupant told police they were in town for a volleyball tournament. The alleged suspects drove off in a white Charger. Officers located two males, one of whom was a known offender of assault. Officers ticketed and released one of the males.

One of the camper occupants later called police requesting extra patrol when four or five teenagers reportedly sped through the parking lot, harassing them.

A woman was allegedly sitting in her car listening to music when the music turned off and her keys vanished. She believed someone reached into her vehicle and took them, but wasn’t positive. Officers advised her to dig through the belongings and trash in her car to try and find the keys and pitched the possibility the battery was dead. She was further advised about her warrant and told to move her car or risk having it towed.

Someone reportedly let their drunk friend stay the night to sleep it off. He was still inebriated when dawn broke and refusing to leave.
