A woman in Columbia Falls may have watched too many movies and TV shows when she reportedly called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office expecting first responders to help her with a cat in a tree. When she was advised that a cat in a tree was not an emergency, she said it was to her. There wasn’t much to say after she responded, “So, I can’t get any help,” and hung up.

Two boxers were reportedly caught in the act of killing a neighbor’s chickens in Kalispell. The neighbor said they had been losing chickens for quite some time.

Elsewhere in Kalispell, a man reportedly chased a pit-bull-type of dog harassing his pigs. He told deputies that he had repeatedly spoken to the owners about the issue and that he would shoot it if it came onto the property. The dog got a pass this time because he wasn’t armed and wanted the owners ticketed.

Meanwhile, in Kila, someone’s husband allegedly shot a tan-colored dog chasing sheep. Badly wounded, he said he was going to “put it down.”

In Columbia Falls, dogs reportedly rushed a woman’s children and she told her neighbor she would shoot the dogs if they did it again, to which the neighbor threatened to shoot her in the head.

A Labrador puppy allegedly jumped on a 78-year-old woman, knocking her down in Kalispell. She reportedly injured her knee.

A 6-foot man about 27 years old allegedly raised his fist and walked toward someone’s vehicle after they called him out for hitting a golden retriever puppy and pinning it to the ground. The caller, who initially called 911 but hung up, said the man had brown hair and was with a woman when dispatch called him back.

A man allegedly cut fencing to a Kalispell property, which someone claimed was to get to cows they didn’t think he owned and thought something weird was going on.
