Law roundup: Odd man not welcome in building
A man wearing a blue polo and sunglasses was reportedly “acting odd” in the corner of a building and a customer asked an employee to call the Kalispell Police Department to move him along.
A woman called police alleging a staff member was “going off on her,” yelling and patronizing her.
Someone complained about people frequently driving recklessly by a building, the latest being a person with red curly hair driving a green Chevy Suburban in such a way the tires were squealing. The person requested extra patrol.
A man wearing camo pants, a long-sleeved hoodie and a backpack tested his chances with jaywalking when someone called alleging he was jumping in front of vehicles to get to a gas station. An officer advised him he was banned from the gas station and told him how to cross the road safely.
A customer allegedly assaulted an employee.
A rambunctious hot tub party was allegedly getting “super loud” across the street from someone who complained about the noise level, telling police they didn’t think the group lived at the location.
An intoxicated woman with a bloody face reportedly ran to someone’s apartment, asking them to call 911 after getting in a fight with a neighbor who alleged she attacked him and he had to fight to get her off him.
A mother went to the police department allegedly wanting to report slander regarding her child.
Officers received a later call from a mother who reportedly wanted officers to pick up her son and take him home to his dad after he hitchhiked into town and was at a restaurant with a friend. She said she didn’t have anyone else to pick him up and brought up calling Uber, which an officer advised her to do.
Someone alleged that a bearded man with a backpack was trying to light papers on fire with a lighter. The man reportedly said he was rolling and lighting a cigarette.
An incident of road rage that reportedly occurred south of Lakeside continued with vehicles following each other to the sheriff’s office where law enforcement counseled both parties.
A vehicle and an apartment door were egged.
A purported “repeat offender” who drives Kia Forte was found parked in a handicap designated spot. Someone alleged the vehicle was left parked there every weekend. Officers spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle and she moved it.
A semi-truck with a license plates from Idaho on the rear and Alaska plate on the front had reportedly blocked access to a wholesale store for two days.
Extra patrol was requested in an area with frequent speeders during lunchtime
