Woman accused of breaking into Kalispell home to find ex

A woman is facing a felony charge in Flathead County District Court after allegedly breaking into the home where her ex-partner was staying over the holiday weekend and attacking a resident of the house.
Prosecutors brought Tiffany Marina Le Roux up on one count of felony burglary following the alleged May 26 attack on Fifth Avenue West North in Kalispell. Scheduled to appear before Judge Amy Eddy for her June 13 arraignment, Le Roux remains in county jail with bail set at $75,000.
Le Roux’s ex was staying with a friend on May 26 when the 33-year-old showed up in the early afternoon hours, according to court documents. Le Roux allegedly “barged in” through the front door, making a loud noise like a bang, the victims told responding Kalispell Police officers.
Le Roux, who was by then in the kitchen, attacked a resident of the home who went to investigate the commotion, court documents said. Le Roux allegedly punched the other woman several times in the head, causing a small cut.
The fight ended when the resident armed herself with a hammer and began swinging it at Le Roux while telling her to leave, according to court documents. Le Roux’s ex-partner, who remained in another room in the home, called first responders in the meantime.
The pair told investigators that Le Roux had spent the night prior stalking her ex around town and at one point strangled her, according to court documents. They also turned over text messages wherein the ex directed Le Roux to keep away.
Officers found Le Roux, who fled the Fifth Avenue West North house, at her home. She allegedly said that she went to the home to talk to her ex and entered through an unlocked front door.
Burglary is punishable by up to 20 years in Montana State Prison and a $50,000 fine.
