Allen Wayne Himsl, 82

Allen Wayne Himsl, 82, cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died peacefully surrounded by family at Logan Health Medical Center, Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Allen was born in Miles City, Custer County, Montana, March 19, 1942, to Matt and Lois Himsl.  

He attended Kalispell public schools, Carroll College, and graduated from the University of Montana. He was a talented athlete and served in the Army Reserves. His first job after graduating was at Himsl-Wohlwend Motors where he worked in the finance department. He then progressed to Conrad National Bank, and went on to work at Three Rivers Bank, retiring as senior vice president. Allen had a passion for automobiles and could often be found attending car shows or driving and picnicking in the parks with friends. He built a life filled with travel, love, service and dedication.  

Allen is lovingly survived by his wife, Linda E. Himsl and three sons, Mark, Michael (Yvette), and Nicholas; grandchildren Kenisha (Bob) Gretsch, Lauryl, Matthew, Zechariah, Sophia, Lola, and Daisy Himsl; and great-granddaughters, Kambreigh and Madalynne Gretsch. He is also survived by four loving sisters, Marilyn (Bernie) Olson, Louise (Bob) Robinson, Kathy (Richard) Spear, and Judi Choury.

Viewing for family and friends will be held at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at St. Matthews Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to St. Matthews Catholic School or a charity of your choice. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
