Big Sky City Lights performance moves to Sept. 13

| September 5, 2024 12:00 AM

The Daily Inter Lake’s Press Play concert featuring Big Sky City Lights has been rescheduled to Sept. 13.

Tickets are still available for the lunchtime series originally set for Sept. 6.

Big Sky City Lights is an indie folk duo featuring Nick Spear and Susan O’Dea. They describe their harmony-infused Americana sound as both vintage and of the moment.

O’Dea spends her time between New York and Montana, writing long-distance and traveling for tours with Spear, who has been a musician in Whitefish for many years.

Like many musicians who stopped performing live shows during the pandemic, O’Dea saw it as an opportunity to collaborate with her long-time friend through other formats. Even though he lived across the country, the two began singing cover songs that they posted to social media.

It wasn’t long before they collaborated on an original song “Silver Strings."  Their first album “Wake Me When We Get There” was released in 2021.

The duo is set to release their second project “A Mountain To Go” in October.

Subscribers can join for a unique music listening experience during the Press Play concert at the Daily Inter Lake by donating to the Newspapers in Education initiative. Concertgoers can bring lunch or purchase lunch from The House of S&M.

Tickets are available at FlatheadTickets.com or by calling 406-758-4436. The performance will be live-streamed on the Daily Inter Lake Facebook and Instagram pages.
