| September 8, 2024 12:00 AM

Offering a dynamic platform for both job seekers and businesses to connect and explore potential opportunities, the Northwest Montana Job & Opportunity Fair is Sept. 25.

Hosted by the Job Service Kalispell, Flathead Valley Community College, the Daily Inter Lake, Discover Kalispell Chamber, and WorkForce Flathead, this event promises to be the largest in-person fall job fair event in all of Northwest Montana.

The fair will be held in the Trade Center at the Flathead County Fairgrounds from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. where job seekers of all ages and backgrounds will have the chance to meet with representatives from a diverse array of businesses and industries. Whether attendees are seasoned professionals, recent graduates, retirees looking to rejoin the workforce, or individuals looking for a fresh start, the job fair offers something for everyone.

A special feature added to the fall job fair highlights veterans’ service providers. These service providers will be at the job fair to meet with veterans whether they are seeking employment or just connection to veteran services.

James Graham, Job Service Kalispell veteran’s representative, said the job fair will bring resources to one place.

“Local Veteran Service Providers will be present to provide Veterans with purpose, opportunity and camaraderie,” he said.

Businesses that want to participate can sign up via the employers' tab link on the WorkForce Flathead website at www.workforceflathead.com.

By engaging with the local workforce and showcasing available opportunities, participating businesses can actively contribute to the economic vitality of the region while finding the talent they need to thrive, according to job fair organizers.

Laura Gardner, manager of Job Service Kalispell said the Job Service is thrilled to facilitate meaningful connections between job seekers and local businesses.

“The Northwest Montana Job & Opportunity Fair serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment, and we look forward to welcoming participants from across the county,” she said.
