Sports Briefs: Advance Restaurant Supply wins Buffalo Hill men’s league

Advanced Restaurant Supply defeated Morrison-Maierle for Buffalo Hills’ Thursday Night Men’s League championship on Sept. 5.

Advanced Restaurant Supply won an 18-hole playoff 14-2 to secure the title at Buffalo Hills Golf Club, capping a season full of extra golf.

It was Morrison-Maierle that won the first half of league competition in a playoff, before Advanced Restaurant Supply flipped the script with a playoff win for the second half. This led to the rematch for the 2024 League Title.

Members of Advanced Restaurant Supply team are: Derek Benson, Josh Buls, Dan Buls, Mike McCreary, Bob Benson, Bart Woods, Ken Bush and Ryan Barker. Morrison-Maierle is made up of: Andrew Durado, Sam Kuhlin, Dylan Junjak, Russell Williams and Kyler Harkins.

The Buffalo Hill Men’s League included 32 teams and 256 players.

Third ace for Woelfle at Eagle Bend

Using a 9-wood, Lizzie Woelfle aced No. 4 of the Eagle Nine at Eagle Bend Golf Club on Sept. 2.
