Law Roundup: Boys playing hooky busted

Columbia Falls Police busted a trio of school skippers who were trying to lay low inside their vehicle at a city park. The boys' parents were notified.

Shirtless teens were acting like they were going to jump off a bridge into the river. The caller said the water wasn't deep enough this time of year for such daredevil activity.

Police were called to cool down a lively family discussion. The reporting party didn't want it to get physical.

Officers were tipped off about a man moving items from a Mercedes SUV and into a Ford van at suspicious hours of the day. He also had put a tire in his yard, which seemed weird. Police found no evidence of a crime.

A man was ready to fight after a kid yelled racial slurs at his wife.

A woman was heard screaming for help. It turned out to be a verbal disturbance and both parties were advised to call it a night.

A low rider pickup was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run in Columbia Falls. The reporting party said the suspected vehicle would have significant front-end damage. There was some speculation among neighbors about who the culprit might be.

A pack of unruly teens were being vulgar and threatening other children.
