Power outages planned west of Kalispell and in Lakeside

Power outages are expected both west of Kalispell and in the Lakeside area. 

The Bonneville Power Administration has informed Flathead Electric Cooperative of planned power outages on the mornings of Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 8. These outages are both expected to begin at 5 a.m. and to last approximately 5 minutes. This outage supports maintenance and improvements to the electric system. 

The areas affected are west of Kalispell, in the Marion, Happy’s Inn, and Ashley Creek areas. Approximately 2,900 members of the cooperative will be impacted.   

Kila and Batavia residents are encouraged to look carefully at maps reflecting the planned outage, as some parts of their communities are impacted, and others are not.  

FEC also plans brief power outages on the mornings of Monday, Sept. 30 and Monday, Oct. 7, in the Lakeside area. These outages are both expected to begin at 9 a.m. and to last approximately 5 minutes. These outages are necessary due to the expansion of a nearby substation, which will augment Lakeside’s electric reliability. 

Approximately 2,900 Lakeside area members of Flathead Electric Cooperative will be impacted. The co-op will place automated calls to members affected by the planned outages.
