Council to review equipment garage upgrades
Kalispell City Council on Monday expected to mull over potential improvements to the city’s equipment garage.
Council meets on April 14 at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 201 First Ave. E.
The garage houses over 325 pieces of city equipment from fire engines and dump trucks to police cruisers and traffic signs, according to a brief city memo from Public Works Director Susie Turner. The equipment is serviced by three mechanics.
Councilors will hear a presentation on staffing constraints at the garage, recommended facility improvements and the estimated costs along with them, according to the memo.
The city also budgeted for a solid waste equipment storage facility for fiscal year 2026, which councilors will get the rundown on.
