Bigfork baseball holds off Polson comeback

POLSON — Ryeln Rodriguez reached on an error and drove in Ryder Hamilton for the winning run as Bigfork defeated Polson 7-6 in high school baseball Tuesday.


Rodriguez’s RBI gave the Vikings (8-3) a 7-4 lead at the time, Polson (7-4) cut the deficit to 7-6 in the sixth as Wyatt Wadsworth singled to left field, scoring Cody Haggard. 


Hayden Mayer closed out the game for Bigfork on the mound, he went three innings in relief and allowed two runs on two hits. He fanned five. 


Landon Pablo started for the Pirates on the mound, going two innings and allowing two runs. 


Wadsworth threw three innings, allowing four runs on two hits. Haggard went two no-hit innings for Polson in relief, striking out one.
