Gordon Richard Best, 56
Gordon Richard Best, 56, of Columbia Falls, passed from his earthly life on Easter, April 20, 2025. He fought like a warrior against metastatic renal cell carcinoma until his last breath, in the compassionate care of Logan Health Whitefish staff.
Born in Spokane, he is survived by his first love, Kim LaVine Best, whom he asked to marry in third grade; sons, Colton, Zachary, and Adam; grandchildren, Emberly, and Wrenley; father, Robert Gish; mother, Laura Brandt-Bouder (husband, Dave); brothers, Darren and Thor Best; and sisters, Carrie Best-Neal, Tera Beir, and Nicole Fulmer.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughters, Kaylynn (forever 20), and Jenae (forever 17), brother, Kurtis Best, and stepmother, Vicki Gish.
Gordon was well known for his fountain of knowledge, mentor and admired with respect by all who were blessed to work alongside him. Always showed a great sense of witty humor, that went alongside many diverse talents, truly being a jack of all trades, and always willing to share his profoundness.
Our five children were the very driving center of his life, along with two grandchildren.
A service will be held in Gordon's honor at Valley Life Church, 1750 Talbot Road, Columbia Falls, on Saturday May 3 at 4:30 p.m., there will also be a recognition time of our daughter's Memorial Day.
Potluck to immediately follow, anyone is welcome to bring a dish.
Private family interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery.
