Bitterroot Red Sox claim Northwest A Legion crown
BURLEY, Idaho — Cash Lawrence threw a two-hit complete game shutout as the Bitterroot Red Sox defeated Klamath Falls 7-0 Monday to claim the Northwest A Legion Baseball championship.
Lawrence struck out eight batters as the Red Sox completed the tournament without a blemish and outscoring opponents 64-8 over five games.
Hunter Harness hit a two-run single in the first as Bitterroot jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Harness finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Boedy Tadvick and Jude Widmer joined Harness in the fifth to add RBI singles and put the Red Sox up 7-0.
Conner Shively and Kollin Tacchini picked up the hits for the Falcons.
Sunday
Red Sox 13, Wolverines 4
Cash Lawrence and Hunter Harness drove in three runs each as the Red Sox scored six runs in the second inning.
The Wolverines led 3-1 before Bitterroot rattled off the next 11 runs to take control.
Connor Quinn went 4 2-3 innings for the Red Sox, allowing four runs on four hits. He fanned four.
Saturday
Red Sox 10, Falcons 0
Reese Earp went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs as Bitterroot scored five runs in the sixth to force the run rule victory.
Boedy Tadvick added two RBIs for the Red Sox who picked up 13 hits.
Jackson Lubke threw a complete game for Bitterroot, allowing three hits and striking out nine batters.
Jacoby Tacchini had two hits for Klamath Falls.
