Brown fires 82 to top Whitefish Triangular

WHITEFISH — Karlee Brown of Whitefish shot the best score among the girls, and the Glacier tandem of Jonah Wynne and Torren Murray won the boys section of the Whitefish Triangular golf meet Tuesday at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

Brown’s 82 was seven strokes better than the 89 shot by teammate Ryhlee Scott. Kendall Tkachyk of Glacier was third at 92. 

The boys played a two-man best ball and Glacier’s No. 1 team, Wynne and Murray, was the only one to break par, going 1-under. 

Five teams were four strokes back at 3-over: Luke Nelson and Sam Syverson of Glacier; Elliot Anderson and Brecken Thorn of Glacier; Trygve Gislason and Andrew Converse of Flathead; Aiden Rickels and Ashton Taylor of Whitefish; and Jessup Hutchingson and Nick Schmidt-Sommer of Whitefish.
