Mann hat trick lifts Kats over Laurel
COLUMBIA FALLS — Bella Mann had a hat trick and the Columbia Falls Wildkats dispatched the powerful Laurel Locomotives 3-0 in girls soccer at Flip Darling Memorial Field Friday.
Mann scored all of her goals in the first half, getting helperes from Mila Johns and Onnika Lawrence.
“This is our first win against Laurel in seven years,” Wildkats coach Thomas Clark said. “For us to go out and beat a team that was in the state championship last year, it means a lot. The girls played incredibly.
“Bella Mann was clinical in front of goal and came away with a hat trick. I’m so proud of her. Elaina Dorr and our back line were fantastic to keep a shutout. This one means a lot to our program and sets the tone for the season.”
