GREAT FALLS — Jake Millan drove in three runs, Luke Schafer got through a rocky fifth inning to improve to 8-1 and the Glacier Range Riders beat Great Falls 6-5 Thursday in Pioneer League baseball.

Millan’s grounder and Kingston Liniak’s RBI single capped a three-run rally in the fifth inning for the Rangee Riders (18-21 this half), breaking a 2-2 tie. In Great Falls’ half of the inning, the Schafer allowed a walk, then with two out uncorked two wild pitches and allowed RBI singles to Tommy Specht and AJ Fritz.

Schafer then got Aidan Redahan, who had doubled earlier, to ground out to end that threat. He left having allowed six hits — including two home runs — along with four walks and four runs. Glacier still led 5-4.

Schafer fanned six Voyagers, giving him 101. He and fellow Range Riders Grant Taylor and Ty Bothwell (league-leading 112) all have over 100 strikeouts in 2025.

Millan drove in three runs for Glacier. Catcher Angel Mendoza had two hits, including a double, and scored twice.

Rayne Supple pitched two perfect innings of relief and Nick Zegna worked around a walk and hit in the ninth for his sixth save.

The teams began a three-game set back at the Range Riders’ Glacier Bank Park, the last home games of the season for the Kalispell club.
