Law roundup: Casino-goer takes a gamble on fake bill

A man thought luck was on his side when he purportedly tried to insert a fake $100 bill into a Keno machine at a casino, causing it to stop working. An employee allegedly pulled the bill out, noticing it stated “motion picture only” and did not feel like real money. The man took the bill back and left.

Children reportedly threw dog feces at a neighbor’s door and when their parents tried to apologize, the woman threatened her children that if they ever came to her door, she would “give them the beating of a lifetime,” because their parents didn't “discipline them enough.”

A security guard allegedly pinned a man to the ground to prevent him from fighting others after getting into an altercation outside the building. Medical personnel were requested to examine the drunk man, who was reportedly bleeding from his arms and face.

A man on a bicycle allegedly touched a woman despite her screaming, “Don’t touch me,” and kept following her as she walked away.

Men were reportedly seen yelling and pushing each other in a parking lot by a resident on the third floor of an apartment building. People involved alleged the verbal argument and shoving match was between two sons against their father, who said he was OK, didn’t need a police response and was leaving to find his wife.

A woman reportedly went into a hotel guest’s room to get her dog and saw drugs she called “blues,” bloody syringes and tinfoil. A responding officer did not see any drugs in plain view from the door and the occupant declined to give his consent for police to search the room. 

Officers received multiple calls and requests to check on the welfare of a topless woman running around an alleyway. She allegedly said a snake crawled up her shirt and she thought she was wearing a bra when she removed her top.

A kid reportedly walked into someone’s car while another youth was “covering himself in shrubs and rocks.” Thinking they might be under the influence of drugs, they reported the suspicious behavior to officers.
