Girls roundup: Browning, Ronan win big
RONAN — Ronan’s Kailyn Marengo hit three 3-pointers on the way to 18 points, teammate Nevaeh Perez added 17 and the Maidens beat Polson 71-50 in Northwest A girls basketball Saturday.
Marengo was 6 of 13 from the floor and 3 of 7 from beyond the arc. Ronan overcame some frigid free throw shooting — 20 of 40 — to improve to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in league games. She scored nine points during a 24-8 Ronan surge in the second quarter.
