Tracy Manus, 80
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Tracy Manus. Tracy passed away on Dec. 14, 2024, at the family home in Hungry Horse with his wife, Karene, two daughters, Leisha and Lacee, and longtime friend, Bob Love, by his side.
Mark "Tracy" Manus was born on Sept. 10, 1944, in Nampa, Idaho, to Thurman and Francis Manus. He joined a sister, Patricia, and a brother, Tex. Tracy grew up in Idaho, Washington, and Montana. He started logging at an early age and continued it for many years until his retirement. He worked for various companies and later became self-employed with his own equipment.
He loved spending time outdoors and cherished taking his grandchildren fishing and camping. He treasured the time spent with Karene, the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. After retiring, he and Karene spent several winters in the South, where they enjoyed adventures with friends and being closer to the kids and grandkids. Tracy was an active member of the Tractor Club, known as the Northwest Antique Power Association. He also generously volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years.
Tracy was preceded in death by his father and mother, his sister, a daughter, Lerral, and a grandson, Zachary.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karene. He is also survived by his brother, Tex Manus; sons, Travis (Heidi), Brett, and Boyd Manus; daughters, Dawn Underwood, Libbi Erickson (Mark), Leisha McEldery, and Lacee Bukoskey (Randy); five granddaughters, Carli Erickson, Maddy and Brenna McEldery, Kyla and Britany Manus; eight grandsons, Max and Oakley Erickson, Austin Styler, Owen and Bryce Bukoskey, Finn McEldery, Dustin Underwood, and Joey Schabarker; and six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Clover, Sonny, Haileigh, Ryan, and Tanner. He is also survived by his good friend and longtime sawing partner, Casey Kelch, his Aunt Lenora and numerous other relatives and friends.
Tracy was a very special man loved by all and will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held in July 2025. More information will be provided later.
