Eureka boys 2nd, girls 3rd at Western B/C wrestling

BUTTE — Eureka sits second in the boys team standings and third in the girls rankings after one day at the Western B/C wrestling divisional Friday. 

Cascade leads the boys competition with 125.5 points, the Lions are at 108.5 with Plains in third at 107.5. 

Eureka’s Hunter Grieve picked up a first-round pin in 26 seconds over Mission’s Michael Quequesah and followed that with a 7-6 decision over Plains’ Matthew Thurston. 

The Lions’ girls sit at 41 points, behind Cut Bank (58) and leaders Anaconda (77). 

Kricket Bridges remains alive for an individual championship at 105 for the Lions, while Harmony Stole claimed the title at 235 as the only competitor in the weight class.
