C-Falls girls shut down Polson

POLSON — Rylee Sweeney and Taryn Borgen scored 12 points each and Columbia Falls held Polson to 12 second half points as the Wildkats picked up a 51-34 victory in Northwest A girls basketball Tuesday.


Emalee Albon added 10 points for Columbia Falls (10-8 overall, 8-4 in Northwest A games), who led 25-22 at the half.  


The Wildkats held the Pirates (6-12, 4-8) to just two points in the third quarter and ballooned their lead to 34-24. 


Samantha Rensvold led Polson with 12 points, Rylee Taylor-Jefferson tallied nine.

Bigfork 67, Whitefish 13 

BIGFORK — Braeden Gunlock took senior night by storm, scoring 28 points and guiding Bigfork to a victory over Whitefish in girls basketball. 


Paeton Gunlock added 18 points and Keni Wade tallied 13 for the Valkyries (16-2, 12-0), who led 41-9 at the half. 


Reese Hudson led the Bulldogs (4-14, 2-10) with five points.
