Ann Helen Stevens, 93
The celebration of life and promised resurrection.
Ann Helen Stevens, April 30, 1931-March 31, 2025.
Helen was born April 30, 1931, to parents, Elling and Elena Anderson in Circle, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her six brothers and four sisters. Helen and her family moved to Lakeside in 1936 from the Fort Peck, Montana area.
She was married to Charles "Charlie" Stevens II from 1946 through 1996. They moved to Seattle and had one child, Charles III "Chuck" in 1950.
At the age of 15, she got her first job at Woolworths. Helen's life included many homes and destinations. She will be remembered most in Kalispell for her 25 years at Rosauers grocery store, advancing to one of the store managers.
She loved her customers and loved serving them. Her service to others included serving on the Eagles auxiliary for many years and on the board of the Friendship House for 12 years in Kalispell. She also had an extensive doll collection that she donated to the Compact Hillcrest Children's Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Helen Married Dean "Red" McManus in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2007. They spent summers in Kalispell and winters in Wellton, Arizona. Red passed away in 2013 in Kalispell.
Helen is survived by her son, Chuck Stevens (Karen); three grandchildren, Jim (Bismarck), Holly (Malvern) and Cindy (Bismarck); eight great-grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Amanda, Kristen, Payton, Aidan, Courtney and Jesse; and four great-great-grandchildren, Riley, Isabella, Asher, and Haven.
She will be laid to rest at the Conrad Memorial Cemetery, 641 Conrad Dr., Kalispell with her husband, Charlie.
There will be a celebration of life held Wednesday, July 16, at the Spring Hill Suites, 250 Old Reserve Drive, Kalispell, from 1 to 3 p.m. All are invited.
