| July 6, 2025 12:00 AM

Sharon Stratton passed away in June 2025 at Logan Health Center. She was born in 1942 in Anaconda to Kenney and Jean (Fish) Olson. Growing up, she lived in many places, including Bremerton, Washington; Valdez, Alaska; and various parts of Montana, including Anaconda, Glendive, Glasgow and Columbia Falls. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Columbia Falls High School.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Britt Stratton, her son Britt Stratton and wife Keli, her daughter Jeanne Brist and husband Troy, granddaughter Jordan Ballard and husband Ambrose, granddaughter Stefani Stratton; grandson Riley Brist and great-grandchildren Ambrose, Sayer, Maverick and Heiden Ballard, and Daxton and Everlie Wilcox. She is also survived by her sister Shelley Graham, as well as beloved nieces, nephews and cousins in her extended family.

Sharon worked in many different capacities in her long and varied career. She felt her time spent as Flathead County commissioner was where she was most able to make a positive difference for her community.

Sharon was an avid scrapbooker. She had a ball on camping trips. She had the gift of gab and could spin a yarn and laugh riotously at her own stories as well as those about colorful family members. She loved her family and friends and always wanted to help out wherever possible. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Darlington Funeral Home at 3408 U.S. Highway 2 E., Kalispell.
