Law roundup: Manager is not a gambling man
A manager reportedly estimated a loss of $15,250 after a former employee wrote business checks to friends, allowing them to gamble for free, and then he skipped town.
A man with long dark hair standing near the bathrooms at a business was reportedly wearing leather holsters and carrying three large pistols, multiple magazines and a large knife. An employee told the Kalispell Police Department that they thought it was “very strange” and discomforting to see someone carry that many weapons. The man was leaving when officers arrived.
A man jonesing for a fishing trip allegedly shoplifted a tent and fishing tackle and drove away in a black Chevy Suburban. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, black baseball cap and shorts.
Approximately five people were reportedly running and jumping around the top of a school roof and someone called the police, concerned they would get hurt.
A man allegedly jabbed his cane into a kennel containing a Belgian Malinois, yelling at it. The canine cowered behind him when it was let out. Someone, who was concerned about the dog’s welfare, told officers it was kept in a “vertical kennel” with feces on the ground and a “prong collar” mounted in the house.
A woman, who didn’t think she could safely walk her dog in her neighborhood with the amount of aggressive dogs running at-large, had questions about buying a stun gun or Taser.
