Avalanche sweeps down on Bozeman

The Montana Avalanche U18 Goudette team, based out of Kalispell, went 5-0 and won the championship at the Montana State Junior Olympics softball tournament that concluded Sunday in Bozeman.
The Avalanche, which beat the Kalispell Emeralds U18 Allen for the title, included three players from Glacier High and two from Flathead High as well as athletes from throughout the Flathead Valley and across Montana. Many of them wrapped up their travel ball careers with the title.
The Avalanche programs had a banner weekend: 12U Avalanche/Ries and 16U Avalanche/Latrielle both won titles; 14U Avalanche/Larson were state runners up.
