Eureka Community Players hold auditions
The Eureka Community Players hold auditions for its summer production of “The Savannah Sipping Society” on June 17 at 6 p.m. at the Timbers Event Center.
The play is a laugh-a-minute comedy by Wooten, Jones and Hope. Long-time director Sharon LaBonty leads the production once more to bring some hilarious Southern wisdom to the community players.
This heartwarming play follows four unique Southern women that are drawn together by Fate — and an impromptu happy hour. Together they decide it’s high time to escape their day-to-day routines and reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years, one sip at a time.
Four women ages 20 and up are needed and should bring lots of energy, personality, and a love for comedy to the play.
Script pages will be provided for review prior to trying out. Rehearsals begin on Monday, June 23 and the summer play will be on August 1-3, coinciding with Eureka’s annual quilt show.
