Iva Mather, 83

Iva "Babe" Mather, 83, passed away Oct. 28, 2024, in Chewelah, Washington. Babe was born in Kalispell on May 12, 1941. She spent the majority of her life living in Montana, as well as California, New Mexico, Alaska, and Washington.

Babe owned bars and invested in real estate as well as worked as a bartender, cleaner at the Hanford nuclear site, and ended her career as a cosmetologist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two younger brothers, Louie and Bud Rogers, husband, Jim Mather, and son Anthony "Tony" Mather. 

She is survived by her three granddaughters, Jessica Kaliman, Deer Park, Washington; Jennifer Mather, Valley, Washington; and Trysta Mather, Spearfish, South Dakota; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 21 at Conrad Cemetery in Kalispell. Followed by a celebration of life at the Kalispell Senior Center.
