Law roundup: World and pearly gates on man’s mind

Whitefish Police Department received a call from a man who said he was in the bathroom when another man reportedly walked in ranting about the world and about “sending people to the pearly gates.”

A resident reportedly came home to find the back door ajar, the lights on, some pills missing and a sleeping bag that didn’t belong to him.

Someone allegedly asked officers to check on the welfare of a man with a bloody nose, thinking he might have crashed the bicycle he was riding.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report about chemical odors in Hungry Horse.

A park manager calling from Somers reported a theft and property damage that allegedly occurred at the location during the night. The manager wanted deputies to respond and talk to a person involved who was still at the scene.

A Kalispell resident allegedly felt bad for a homeless man and let him live with them but became concerned when he heard “clinking” noises and thought he might be throwing things at his truck. He told deputies he was afraid to open the front door when the man started banging on it, possibly to get his belongings.

Someone calling from Columbia Falls complained about alleged trespassers on a property. The caller was told to contact the property owner where the alleged trespassing was occurring and if they had concerns, they could report it.

A shelter reportedly wouldn’t release information to a woman about an animal placed on a medical hold, so she called deputies wanting to find out where it was found because she had an animal go missing that looked similar to it.
