A passerby reportedly used French fries to catch the attention of two beagles running loose on the highway in Kila. Although the dogs weren’t reportedly “being very nice," the Good Samaritan got them leashed and tried calling the numbers listed on the collars. When the owners didn’t pick up, they turned the rambunctious pair into the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

Someone’s ex-wife was allegedly “flipping out,” screaming and spitting on people in Bigfork after smoking methamphetamine for days.

A blonde girl reportedly punched another girl in Kalispell, causing her nose or lip to bleed, before smashing her car window.

A woman insisted that she talk to animal control regarding a fawn that allegedly “lost its mother” and was coming around her house. She told a dispatcher she had already left a message with Fish and Game. Despite being told animal control would not interfere with the wild animal, and the message would just be turned over to Fish and Game, she was under the impression that animal control had a “back route connection to someone who would come get the deer.”

Deputies received a later call about a barefoot man walking on Holt Drive in Bigfork who was reportedly carrying a “baby deer.” Fish and Game were advised.

A sedan on the shoulder of U.S. 2 East in Kalispell was reportedly on fire and a man was waving a coat at the flames. A passerby called deputies to report the fire and said she didn’t stop but would get a fire extinguisher for him.

A panicked caller allegedly hung up on dispatchers after reporting a shop was on fire in Kalispell. On the callback, a man answered, saying everyone was out of the building and that he got “all the explosives out." The fire was contained and mutual aid was canceled.
