Red Sox throw no-hitter, sweep Mariners
HAMILTON — Runs, and hits, were scarce for the Mission Valley Mariners Tuesday, when they lost both ends of a Legion doubleheader to the Bitterroot Red Sox by twin 10-0 scores.
The Mariners (8-10) managed just two singles — by Landon Shoemake and Aiden Gfroerer — in the first game. In the second game Jude Widmer and Hunter Harrness combined on a five-inning no-hitter. Both games ended in five innings under the run rule.
